Optometrist

To support our team of 8 ophthalmologists and 5 optometrists, in our Latem-Eeklo-Merelbeke-Gavere practices, Eyecenter is looking for a motivated optometrist/ TOA with an interest in or experience in ophthalmology.

What does the job entail?

• You will work as an optometrist/TOA for our team of doctors at our various practice locations.
• You prepare the patient optimally for the examination, question the specific needs and complaints, measure vision in both adults and children.
• You carry out examinations independently (measuring angles, working with a synoptophore, adjusting prisms, etc.).
• You work accurately and fluently with equipment for eye examinations: biometry, perimetry, OCT, etc.
• You perform preliminary examinations accurately for cataract surgery and refractive surgery.

• You are a qualified optometrist / TOA.
• You are eager to learn and want to (further) train yourself in eye care.
• You are empathetic and have good communication skills.
• You are patient and stress-resistant.
• You are perfectly Dutch-speaking, knowledge of French and English are an asset.
• You function as a good colleague in the current team, as well as being able to work independently and accurately.
